Viome was founded in 2016 with a mission to make illness optional by learning the ways to predict, reverse, and prevent chronic diseases, cancer, and aging through a deeper understanding of an individual's biology.
Initially, Viome’s gut microbiome testing kits were $399 each, with a subscription option, at $99 per month, or $999 per year. Since then, we have evolved. For a long time, we were known as simply a gut health company, with our Gut Intelligence Test available to purchase individually. Advancements in technology and improvements in efficiency have enabled us to offer the test for much less today. And while we still do gut microbial testing, we have expanded our at-home health testing and now supplement offerings, too!
In May 2020, we released our Health Intelligence Test, which still includes Gut Intelligence, but includes an additional blood test for cellular health, biological age, immunity, and 30+ more unique health scores. You also get personalized nutrition recommendations - precisely just the right foods fit for you.
In September 2020, we released Viome Precision Supplements, which is personalized vitamins, supplements, minerals, enzymes and more, based on your unique health scores - everything you need and nothing you don’t.
Currently, we have options for the purchase of individual test kits, personalized supplement and pre/probiotic subscriptions, and pre/probiotic subscriptions.
So, how much does Viome cost?
Depends on the product you are interested in. The Gut Intelligence Test and Health Intelligence Test (which also includes Gut Intelligence) prices do change from time to time, and we are striving to make them even less by working toward a more efficient lab. The personalized vitamin and probiotic subscriptions, which often include the tests with the subscriptions, range from $59.95 to $199 per month, depending on the plan you select.
Prices are subject to change, as the newly opened Viome Laboratory, in Bothell, Wash., is constantly working to improve efficiency to lower processing costs and times so they can pass on the savings to the customer.
